Pastor Carl Day is a dynamic community leader and spiritual guide based in the heart of Philadelphia. He has recently founded “Pastor of the Hood,” a grassroots organization focused on community empowerment, social justice advocacy, and spiritual guidance.

Challenge

Creating a branding strategy that authentically reflects the Philadelphia community’s values, culture, and aspirations served by “Pastor of the Hood. With more millennials leaving churches in urban areas, how do you connect with them in a way they understand?

Our Approach

To address these challenges, we took a comprehensive approach:

  • We blended classic design elements, such as traditional basketball motifs, with contemporary typography and layouts. This approach ensured the brand felt timeless and current, appealing to long-time supporters and new fans.
  • We developed a comprehensive brand guideline that detailed the use of logos, colors, fonts, and other design elements across different mediums. This ensured that every piece of content, from social media posts to merchandise, aligned with the brand’s identity.
  • We focused on creating sleek, modern designs that incorporated the team’s branding in a bold but not overpowering way. We also worked closely with manufacturers to ensure that the apparel was made from high-quality, performance-oriented materials.
